Le concert propose une rencontre entre deux univers musicaux : le romantisme belge et la richesse de la musique brésilienne, tout guidé par la voix chaleureuse de l'alto. Au centre du programme, la Sonate pour alto et piano de Vieuxtemps, figure majeure de la musique belge, une œuvre profonde et expressive qui met en valeur toute la richesse de l’alto, accompagnée de son émouvante Élégie. À cela s’ajoute un voyage vibrant au cœur du Brésil avec Guerra Peixe, Villa-Lobos et Chiquinha Gonzaga, entre lyrisme envoûtant et rythmes dansants, dont la célèbre Bachianas No. 5 et l’élégante Atraente. Ce concert est une invitation à explorer ces contrastes, à ressentir l’émotion et l’énergie qui traversent ces œuvres, et à partager ensemble un moment musical unique. Palloma Izidio L’altiste brésilienne Palloma Izidio a débuté au Projeto Música nas Escolas à Rio de Janeiro avant de jouer avec l’Orchestre symphonique Barra Mansa en tournée avec des ballets prestigieux comme le Ballet Alla Sacala de Milan et le Ballet Bolchoï, et des artistes tels que Gal Costa et João Bosco. En 2015, elle a rejoint l'OPES Youth Academy, puis l’Institut Baccarelli, où elle a étudié avec Gabriel Marin et a été alto soliste de l’Orchestre symphonique d’Heliópolis (2018-2020). À cette occasion, elle s’est produite à la Sala São Paulo et au Theatro Municipal de São Paulo et a joué aux côtés de Victor Julien-Laferrière, Isaac Karabtchevsky, Gilberto Gil et Alcione. Elle joue comme alto soliste avec le Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, l'Orchestra de Camera de l’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Bruxelles et le quatuor "Les Altistes". En août 2025, elle part en tournée avec le Nationaal Jeugdorkest, se produisant notamment au Concertgebouw d'Amsterdam et au Konzerthaus de Berlin. En parallèle, elle se spécialise en production musicale au Berklee Online Campus

Dit concert brengt twee muzikale werelden samen: de Belgische romantiek en de rijkdom van de Braziliaanse muziek, allemaal geleid door de warme stem van de altviool. Centraal in het programma staat de Sonate voor altviool en piano van Vieuxtemps, een belangrijke figuur in de Belgische muziek, een diepgaand en expressief werk dat de volledige rijkdom van de altviool laat horen, begeleid door zijn ontroerende Élégie. Dan is er een levendige reis naar het hart van Brazilië met Guerra Peixe, Villa-Lobos en Chiquinha Gonzaga, met hun betoverende lyriek en dansbare ritmes, waaronder de beroemde Bachianas No. 5 en de elegante Atraente. Dit concert is een uitnodiging om deze contrasten te verkennen, om de emotie en energie te voelen die door deze werken lopen en om samen een uniek muzikaal moment te delen.
