The Angolan Dances Trip is a cultural tourism program created by Lápis Eventos, the same production company responsible for major artistic and cultural events in Europe, including the internationally recognized Angolan Dances Festival in Lisbon.
Since 2019, the project has brought people from all over the world to Angola for a deep, authentic, and immersive cultural experience, allowing participants to explore the country through dance, arts, gastronomy, traditions, and direct interaction with local communities.

Designed especially for lovers of Angolan and African culture, the program offers far more than a simple trip: it is a journey into the essence of African culture, guided by local artists, instructors, cultural specialists, and community leaders who share their knowledge, history, and lifestyle with visitors.

About the Organizer – Gabriel Cabinda

The trip is organized by Gabriel Cabinda, founder and director of the Festival of Angolan Dances in Angola and Europe since 2019. With a strong academic background in:

•            Marketing and Event Production Management – European University of Lisbon

•            Hospitality Management – CHB in partnership with École Hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland

He is known for his passion for hospitality, culture, and tourism, and for dedicating his work to promoting genuine cultural experiences.
His mission is to uplift local artists, strengthen cultural exchange, and create meaningful social impact.

As part of the trip’s social responsibility actions, each edition includes donations of wheelchairs, helping people take their first steps and contributing to community well-being.

During the trip, participants will have the opportunity to attend the following program:

•            Talk Show on the Five Cultural Dimensions of Angola

•            Dance workshops and intensive individual training sessions

•            Each instructor works with only 3 participants (10 instructors for 30 tourists)

•            1 hour per day, in addition to the group workshops

•            Muzongue parties (the most famous local parties in Angola) and traditional street celebrations in Luanda

•            Guided walks and excursions to iconic locations around the city

•            Street dance contests in Semba, Kizomba, and Kuduro

•            You may compete or simply enjoy as a spectator

•            Gastronomic exchanges, where participants share and present dishes from their home countries

•            A multicultural dinner experience with different meals every night

•            Live music shows and traditional backyard parties

•            Visit to the Kedas of Kalandula in Malanje (optional)

•            Exploration of Angolan crafts, museums, and sightseeing tours

•            Participation in the traditional wedding ceremony – The Pedido

•            Excursions to Angola’s most iconic places

•            Visits to local dance schools

•            Lectures on dance, music, instruments, and Angolan culture

•            Os Bailarinos de Luanda Party – a unique celebration gathering Luanda’s dance schools

•            Kizomba na Rua – a dancing experience at Luanda Bay

•            Group A: August 2–12, 2026

•            Group B: August 19–29, 2026

•            Maximum participants: 30 per group

PACKAGE 1: Angola Cultural Experience

Duration: 10 days
Location: Luanda + Malanje Province
Ideal for: Cultural immersion, dance, and local experiences

Trip + Accommodation & Prices (Hotel Skyna, Luanda 4 ★)

Important Notes:

•            International flights not included

•            Local parties organized by others – entrance fees not included

•            Deposits fully refundable for package 1 if canceled before May 1, 2026

•            Package 2 if canceled before 30 of December 2025

•            After this date, refunds are subject to conditions

PACKAGE 2: Culture & Desert Experience

Duration: 13 days (10 days in Luanda + Malanje, 3 days in Namibe & Lubango)
Includes all activities from Package 1, plus:

•            Domestic flight Luanda ↔ Lubango/Namibe (round trip)

•            Visit and camping in the Angolan desert

•            2 nights in a 3★ hotel + 1 night in a desert camp

•            Breakfast and lunch or dinner included

•            24-hour assistance

•            Desert experience can be scheduled before or after the main program

Payment & Notes

•            Remaining balance may be paid in cash or by bank transfer (upon arrival or one week before)

•            All activities include transportation and 24-hour assistance

•            Full itinerary with additional details will be available in May 2026

Not Included:

•            International flights

•            Travel/health insurance

•            Medications or medical emergencies

•            Private lessons or additional individual activities

•            Meals outside the daily plan

•            Personal expenses (souvenirs, drinks, snacks)

•            Laundry or room service

•            Extra baggage or airport fees

•            Communication costs (SIM cards, international calls)

•            Any other expenses outside the program

•            transfer if you came before the dates ( but we can assist you to have all the service you need extra night at hotel, or guest house, tax, SIM card, exchange  money etc.)

Deposit Policy: Refundable if canceled before May 1, 2026 for package 01. After this date, subject to conditions. Package 02 before 30 of December 2025.
