Mario Bakuna donne un concert dédié à João Gilberto, pionnier du genre musical de la Bossa Nova à la fin des années 1950. Le style de Gilberto combine des éléments traditionnels de la samba avec du jazz plus contemporain. Son style unique de guitare acoustique implique un rythme syncopé d'accords pincés, avec des progressions d'accords enracinées dans la tradition du jazz. Mario présentera des réinterprétations de certaines de ses compositions et célébrera avec le public l'un des plus grands musiciens brésiliens de tous les temps.

Mario Bakuna geeft een concert opgedragen aan João Gilberto, die eind jaren 1950 een pionier was van het muzikale genre Bossa Nova. Gilberto's stijl combineert traditionele elementen van de samba met meer hedendaagse jazz. Zijn unieke akoestische gitaarstijl bestaat uit een syncopisch ritme van getokkelde akkoorden, met akkoordprogressies die geworteld zijn in de jazztraditie.
