-       John Pritchard, Researcher at the OECD;

Christophe Boutin, Vice-President of ASECAP (European Association of Toll Motorway Operators);

PRESENTATION OF THE CONFERENCE

Context

From an international perspective, this new edition of the Decide Now conferences will provide an opportunity to compare user issues and expectations regarding the transportation sector and the distribution of modal shares across several geographic areas.

The various speakers will also discuss the decarbonization of mobility and its implications around the world. All these issues will go through a cross-disciplinary and by-country analysis and will be accompanied by international feedback.

The conference will be moderated by Jean-Marc Vittori, columnist at Les Échos.

2:00 – 2:10 p.m. Introduction: Discussion to Improve Mobility Worldwide

2:10 – 2:55 p.m. Session 1 – Knowledge and Insights Shaping Public Policies

What do we know about mobility worldwide ? What knowledge and assessments of mobility underpin public policies? What objectives do they pursue?

2.55 – 3.25 p.m. Session 2: What are the tools used to drive the transition?
Focus on electrification and multimodality of mobilities

3.25 – 4 p.m. – break.

4 p.m. – 4.50 p.m. Session 3: How do these tools fit together at the territorial scale? 

4.50 p.m. – 5.20 p.m. Session 4:  What approaches to financing and governance have been adopted globally?

5.20 pm – 5.30 pm : Conclusion

Decide Now, a series of conferences bringing together researchers, elected officials, experts, public and economic decision-makers, with the aim of bringing together science and public decision-making to prepare the future of our infrastructure; an issue calling directly into question the attractiveness of our region, our social cohesion, and our political organization.
