Imagine a marriage between the architectural elements of classical music and the free spirit of jazz.” don marsh V is an acoustic quintet founded by pianist Wouter Van den Broeck. In 2022 they released their well received debut "Marshland", an album conceived around the idea to use the classical sonata-form as a means for jazz improvisation and storytelling. They continue to pursue a middle ground between a kind of chamber jazz and the traditional jazz quintet.
