➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Afro-Cuban dance is the heartbeat of Cuban culture - a living connection between African spirituality, rhythm and modern Cuban styles like Salsa, Rumba and Son.
It’s inspired by the Orishas - spiritual figures from the Yoruba tradition (known as Santería in Cuba). Each has its own rhythm, movements and energy. In this bootcamp, you will focus on two of the most iconic Orishas:
???? Yemayá – goddess of the sea, symbolizing femininity, grace and the flowing rhythm of the waves. Her movements are round, fluid and soft.
⚡ Shango – god of thunder, fire and dance. He represents power, passion and strength. His movements are energetic, grounded, rhythmic, with strong chest and shoulder work.
