About

As part of the 8-day in-situ program, "The Art of Remembering," The Rabbit Hole has curated 3 performances.

The performances are experimental extensions of the research — spaces for testing, sensing, and discovering what can emerge when different elements are brought into relation. Each becomes part of an ecosystem of discovery, where sound, vibration, geometry, movement, and the body interact and respond to one another within the landscape of The Art of Remembering.

The performances explore questions such as: How does vibration interact with the movement of the mirrors? How might dance indicate or reveal geometric codes? How does movement activate a space, and how does the space, in turn, affect the body?

These are not fixed answers, but experiments in motion. Sound travels through space, bodies become instruments, movement activates geometry, and vibration creates invisible connections between the performers, the works, and those who encounter them.

Performance becomes another passage through the Rabbit Hole — a space where the visible and invisible meet, and where the research can be experienced through the body, unfolding through movement, sound, rhythm, and transmission.

"For me, The Art of Remembering is a way of exploring the mysterious relationship between the body, sound vibration, and memory. We can think of memory as existing on several different levels: cultural and ancestral memory, genetic and cellular memory, but also levels of memory of the body. The sensations, movements, tensions and impressions that our expériences can leave within us. For me, the body is our greatest canvas. I can reveal what I choose to bring forward, while at the same time concealing what I may have buried, forgotten, or never been able to put into words.

I see "The Art Of Remembering" as an invitation to become curious about thèse different layers of memory. Through Sound and vibration, we can perhaps listen to parts of ourselves that are not accessible through languages or consciousness.

Sound can move through the body in a way that words cannot. It can create sensation, awaken images, bring emotions to the surface, or simple allow us to become aware of what is already there.

The project is therefore not about recovering a particular memory or finding a definitive answer. For me, it is more about creating a space where remembering can happen in its own way. Through sensation, listening, vibration, and presence.

"The Art Of Remembering" invites us to consider memory not only as something that belong to the past, but as something alive within us, continually sharing the way we experience ourselves and the world around us."

Alexandra Cabrera is a sound therapist, and the founder of Sound Bath Cabres. Originally from Colombia and trained in Nepal frm a master who taught her various therapies related to chakras and Tibetan singing bowls. She acquired a deep understanding of sound and its relationship to the body, presence and inner experience.

For several years, she have been guiding people seeking well-being through the power of sound, in a nurturing, intuitive, and deeply human environment. She became deeply interested in the power of sound and its benefits to our metabolism and the wounds that shape us. Alexandra works closely with artists, creating sensory performances in galleries blending visual art and sound vibrations. These suspended moments are a celebration of the connection between art, intuition, and healing.

She also develops interactive sound therapy sessions for children at L'ESSOR, a child protection organization, to help them better manage their emotions. Through sound, listening games, and playful breathing exercises, they learn to recognize their feelings, to calm themselves, and to cultivate a trusting relationship with themselves.
