L’être humain a toujours été en mouvement, migrant au gré des aléas de son environnement, des conflits, des imprévus, suivant son élan de vie. Dans un monde toujours plus dur, violent et clivant, on ne peut éviter les déplacements et l’exil des êtres.
Personne ne quitte ses racines, sa famille, ses amis, ne risque sa vie dans un voyage incertain sans nécessité impérieuse. A travers la musique et la poésie, il est possible de reconnaître en l’autre l’être humain,quelque soit sa langue et sa culture.
C’est le voyage que proposent le pianiste Fabian Coomans et la comédienne Sarah Brahy au travers des mots de la poétesse iranienne Maryam Kamyab (A. Laila), et de la musique des compositeurs F. Cifariello Ciardi, A. Farhang, M. Ohana et F. Coomans.
« L’étranger est à la fois proche et lointain. Reste-t-il inconnu même si ses mots se révèlent ?
L’étranger est au-delà de ses mots, il est en nous, il fait partie du monde… » (**)

"... Een reis begon in mij.
Eerst verliet ik het huis.
Er lag geen brood op tafel.
Er was geen water.
Waar was er wel water?
De duisternis. ..." (*)
De mens is altijd in beweging geweest, migrerend naar gelang de grillen van zijn omgeving, conflicten, onvoorziene omstandigheden, zijn levensdrang volgend. In een wereld die steeds harder, gewelddadiger en verdeelder wordt, zijn verplaatsingen en ballingschap onvermijdelijk. Niemand verlaat zijn wortels, zijn familie, zijn vrienden, riskeert zijn leven in een onzekere reis zonder dwingende noodzaak.
Door middel van muziek en poëzie is het mogelijk om in de ander de mens te herkennen, ongeacht zijn taal en cultuur.
Dat is de reis die pianist Fabian Coomans en actrice Sarah Brahy ons voorstellen aan de hand van de woorden van de Iraanse dichteres Maryam Kamyab (A. Laila) en de muziek van de componisten F. Cifariello Ciardi, A. Farhang, M. Ohana en F. Coomans.
"De vreemdeling is tegelijkertijd dichtbij en ver weg.
Blijft hij onbekend, zelfs als zijn woorden zich openbaren?
De vreemdeling gaat verder dan zijn woorden, hij is in ons, hij maakt deel uit van de wereld..." (**)

First, I left home.
There was no bread on the table.
There was no water.
Where was there any?
Darkness. …" (*)
Human beings have always been on the move, migrating according to the vagaries of their environment, conflicts, unforeseen events, following their impulse to live. In an increasingly harsh, violent and divisive world, displacement and exile are inevitable.
No one leaves their roots, their family, their friends, risks their life on an uncertain journey without compelling necessity. Through music and poetry, it is possible to recognise the human being in others,
whatever their language and culture.
This is the journey proposed by pianist Fabian Coomans and actress Sarah Brahy through the words of Iranian poet Maryam Kamyab (A. Laila) and the music of composers F. Cifariello Ciardi, A. Farhang, M. Ohana and F. Coomans.
"The stranger is both near and far. Does he remain unknown even if his words are revealed?
The stranger is beyond his words, he is within us, he is part of the world..." (**)
