Around the world with Filippo Grandi : UNHCR High Commissioner

A globe, four students, a journalist and Filippo Grandi, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Foraus, GIMUN, SDSA and STIG from the University of Geneva are pleased to invite you to the Conference “Around the world with Filippo Grandi, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees”. Together, we will delve into Filippo Grandi’s 25-year career, going through the salient moments and symbolic milestones of his life. Among them, the meeting with prominent personalities such as Hillary Clinton and Emmanuel Macron.

Organized during the Human Rights Week, in collaboration with the University of Geneva, the event will have the format of a TV program called “Il gioco del mondo” (“The world game”) transmitted by the Italian-speaking Switzerland broadcasting organization RSI. With the help of a globe, the journalist and the four students will allow Filippo Grandi to plunge us into his path within the UNHCR.

The event will be held on the 23^rd of November at 7pm in auditorium U600, Uni Dufour. Doors will open at 6:30pm

Un globe terrestre, quatre étudiants, un journaliste et Filippo Grandi, le Haut Commissaire des Nations Unies pour les réfugiés.

Foraus, le GIMUN, la SDSA et la STIG de l'Université de Genève ont le plaisir de vous inviter à la conférence « Un tour du monde avec Filippo Grandi, Haut Commissaire des Nations Unies pour les réfugiés ». Nous retracerons ensemble les 25 ans de carrière de Filippo Grandi, en parcourant les moments clés et les étapes symboliques de sa vie, notamment les rencontres avec des personnalités de renom telles que Hillary Clinton et Emmanuel Macron. 

Organisé en collaboration avec l’Université de Genève à l’occasion de la Semaine des droits humains, l’événement suivra un format inspiré d’une émission de la Radiotélévision suisse italienne RSI/RTS, du nom de Il gioco del mondo (Le jeu du monde). Aidé d’un globe, d’un journaliste et des étudiants, Filippo Grandi nous plongera dans son parcours au sein du Haut Commissariat des Nations unies pour les réfugiés. 

La rencontre aura lieu le 23 novembre à 19h, dans la salle U600 du bâtiment Uni Dufour. L'ouverture des portes aura lieu à 18h30.
