A guided tour through the Rum Distillery, the Banana Museum and la Finca Los Berrazales.

The GRAN CANARIA GASTRONOMIC TOUR will allow you to taste the best flavours of the island. With this complete day tour of 8 hours, you will discover a world of surprises and secrets. A comfortable, air-conditioned coach picks you up near your place of residence around 9 in the morning and takes you back in the late afternoon around 5. Excursions are guided in English, Spanish and German by experienced professionals. Insurance is included.

You'll be taken to the Arehucas Rum Distellery, a very famous place and industry on the island, where, after a guided visit, you'll be able to try for free all the different rums and liquors they prepare and offer to their clients. They will show you why so many celebrities have already passed by these internationally well-known cellars. After that, you will be taken to the Banana Museum, a new attraction in Gran Canaria recently opened, where you will learn about this incredible fruit, its origins and its commerce, and also taste some of the best banana products of the Canary Islands. 

Have you ever heard about the famous "Mojo Canario" ? You will not only understand what it is, but also learn how to prepare it in a workshop to do so, and taste it after. This exquisite specialty can be declined in many ways and comes on green, red, spicy, sweet, with almonds, etc. You will love it. 

But that is not all. During your visit to "Finca Los Berrazales" (a farm) you will have the privilege to taste one of the best Canarian wines and coffee, yes, Canarian coffee ! It has been produced on the island for centuries now, but there is only one place in Gran Canaria that still cultivates it and you will learn why during the visit.

Please note on holidays the distillery will not be visited. 
A 60-minute lunch time stop is scheduled in the tour at a typical restaurant in Agaëte village, with an optional menu for 13 € approx (not included).
The weather is not the same in the north and in the summits than in Maspalomas.You have to provide adequate clothing, a pullover or light jacket in winter and good quality shoes (avoid too light sandals). 

This tour takes place once a week, every Thursday. Book with Dunas Map gives you the assurance of a VIP service in English, French or Spanish. This excursion is only available from Maspalomas / Playa del Inglés / Sonnenland / San Agustin. It is essential to book at least 48 hours in advance. You will just have a small deposit to pay now, the balance is due at least 24 hours before the day of the excursion. You will receive by email all the instructions to proceed as well as the exact address of the pickup point.
