Jaqamaz

Jâqamaz is a very recent group, made by 5 a crossroad, it’s a meeting point between four worlds. First of all we seek to combine all the richness that our different cultures can provide in order to create something new. Therefore each member has a great responsibility inside the group. Everyone has to share his influence to find the right balance with others. If we win this bet, this music might open doors. To those who seems familiar with the swing and the blues chords, the sound of the Ud could wake up their desire to see beyond the Mediterranean Sea? To those who sing with plaisir the orchestral Melodies, their body will irresistibly be attracted by the arabic/african grooves. In short, everything is gathered to touch various sensibilities and merge them into new horizons.

Jâqamaz est un groupe très récent de cinq musiciens, c'est un carrefour entre cinq mondes. Nous cherchons avant tout à combiner toute la richesse que nos différentes cultures peuvent offrir afin de créer quelque chose de nouveau. Chaque membre a donc une grande responsabilité au sein du groupe. Il doit partager son influence pour trouver le bon équilibre avec les autres. Si nous gagnons ce pari, cette musique pourrait nous ouvrir des portes. Pour ceux qui semblent familiers du swing et des accords de blues, le son du Ud pourrait réveiller leur envie de voir au-delà de la Méditerranée ? A ceux qui chantent avec plaisir les mélodies orchestrales, leur corps sera irrésistiblement attiré par les grooves arabes et africains. Bref, tout est réuni pour toucher diverses sensibilités et les plonger dans des univers nouveaux.

Jâqamaz is een zeer recente groep van vijf muzikanten, een kruispunt tussen vijf werelden. Ons belangrijkste doel is om alle rijkdom die onze verschillende culturen te bieden hebben te combineren om iets nieuws te creëren. Elk lid heeft dus een grote verantwoordelijkheid binnen de groep. Ze moeten hun invloed delen om de juiste balans te vinden met de anderen. Als we deze weddenschap winnen, kan deze muziek deuren voor ons openen. Voor degenen die vertrouwd zijn met swing- en bluesakkoorden, zou het geluid van Ud hun verlangen kunnen wekken om verder te kijken dan de Middellandse Zee? Voor degenen die graag orkestrale melodieën zingen, zal hun lichaam onweerstaanbaar aangetrokken worden door Arabische en Afrikaanse grooves. Kortom, alles is aanwezig om verschillende gevoeligheden aan te spreken en ze onder te dompelen in nieuwe werelden.
