Kyriakos Gouventas & Maria Ploumi - Greek islands music journey

Two instruments, one compact sound. The original sound of Greek "zygia", a typical duet of the music tradition of the Greek islands.
Kyriakos Gouventas on violin and Maria Ploumi on Lute and vocals perform a musical journey based on the sounds of Greek Islands.
Typical melodic dances and anonymous songs consist the repertoire of the concert, based on the original musical tradition of more than 20 different small and bigger Greek Islands: Cyclades, Dodecanese, Sporades, Creta, Mytilene, Cyprus, etc are the topic destinations and the special flavor of the duo ZYGIA ,which explores the connection between the Greek music living traditions, songs, dances and improvisation as a typical musical style.
