Loris Tils - release concert

Loris Tils slaat de spijker op zijn kop met "IKKI", een single die vanaf de eerste noot barst van de energie en muzikaliteit. Gedragen door de onmiskenbare dreun van Minneapolis Funk, dendert het nummer voort met een groove die indrukwekkend funky aanvoelt en tegelijkertijd bruist van leven.

Twee decennia aan groove en een lange carrière die respect afdwingt. Sinds 2005 heeft Loris Tils zijn eigen identiteit gevormd door te toeren langs clubs en festivals met Ntoumos, Aldo Granato en Renzo Gotto. Tussen 2014 en 2018 vormde hij de ritmische ruggengraat van de band Mister Cover, waarmee hij optrad op de grootste podia van het land. Zijn expertise breidde zich vervolgens internationaal uit met Europese tournees met bluesmuzikant Arthur Menezes, aangevuld met samenwerkingen met The BluesBones. Meer recentelijk heeft hij nauw samengewerkt met Marc Ysaye (zowel in de studio als op het podium voor diens nieuwste soloalbum), en begeleidde hij artiesten als Quentin Mosimann en Typh Barrow voor grote tv-programma's.

Naast zijn carrière als sideman richtte Loris Tils tussen 2018 en 2020 het collectief "One Take" op. Dit concept was gericht op spontane creatie en bracht de elite van de jazz- en fusionscene (Alex Tassel, Patrick Dorcean, Hervé Letor, Igor Gehenot, Julien Tassin ...) samen om de rauwe energie van liveoptredens vast te leggen. Hij profileert zich ook als componist met zijn soloalbums Chic Invaders en Mystic Bayou. Dit repertoire van eigen composities, geschreven onder zijn eigen naam en uitgevoerd door zijn vaste partners Samuel Rafalowicz en de gebroeders Chainis, is alom geprezen door zowel critici als professionals uit de muziekindustrie. Zijn werk is onder andere uitgebreid besproken in twee artikelen in het prestigieuze Franse tijdschrift Bassiste, waarmee zijn status als expert op de bas wordt bevestigd.

Two decades of groove and a longevity that commands respect. Since 2005, Loris Tils has forged his identity by touring clubs and festivals with Ntoumos, Aldo Granato, and Renzo Gotto. Between 2014 and 2018, he became the rhythmic backbone of the band Mister Cover, performing on the country's largest stages. His expertise then expanded internationally through European tours with bluesman Arthur Menezes, complemented by collaborations with The BluesBones. More recently, he has worked closely with Marc Ysaye (both in the studio and on stage for his latest solo album), while also accompanying artists such as Quentin Mosimann and Typh Barrow for major TV shows.

Written under his own name, this repertoire of personal compositions—performed by his long-time partners Samuel Rafalowicz and the Chainis brothers—has been widely acclaimed by both critics and industry professionals. His work has notably been featured in two in-depth articles in the prestigious Bassiste Magazine (France), confirming his status as an expert of the low end. With his new single "Mustache PETE", Loris Tils synthesizes twenty years of experience into an organic, no-compromise groove.
