Lost in Frenchlation x L'Étranger Wine & Cheese Tasting
Description
Join Laura and Paulo, the passionate winemakers behind L’Étranger, for a special wine & cheese tasting with Lost in Frenchlation. After leaving their former lives in Paris — in aviation and cinema — they settled in 2018 in the village of Calce, in the Roussillon, where they restored an old cellar, gathered ancient parcels, and embraced a new calling: crafting living wines rooted in regenerative agriculture and deep respect for the land.
Their six hectares of vines thrive among native vegetation, olive and almond trees, dry-stone walls, and the marine and Pyrenean influences that shape their unique terroir of blue marl, schist and limestone. With minimal intervention, indigenous yeasts, short macerations, and an unwavering commitment to sustainability, they produce a focused range of vibrant, honest wines — three whites, three reds — always drinkable to the last drop.
To complement the tasting, we’ll also be serving artisanal cheeses from Mas Guiter, in the Pyrenees — a producer we’re proud to partner with.
You’ll have the chance to taste these expressive wines and meet the duo themselves, whose philosophy is simple: no dogma, no gurus — just freedom, connection, and virtuous cycles that regenerate soils and communities alike.
Each bottle pays homage to their love of cinema, carrying the name of a film — a playful nod to their past lives and to the stories that inspire them.
This special tasting will be followed by our screening of L’Étranger — a perfect echo to their name and their journey.
Please note that tickets for the movie are NOT included in the tasting and must be purchased separately.
We can’t wait to raise a glass with you!
