About the Epilepsy & Neurosurgery Unit
The Pediatric Epilepsy & Neurosurgery Unit of Adolphe de Rothschild Foundation Hospital has a 25 years of experience in pre-surgical expolorations by non- invasive, invasive (GRIDS and SEEG) as well as surgical treatment of intractable epilepsies in infants, children and adolescents (0-18yrs).
Scalp EEG assessment, GRIDS and surgery may be performed till the first months of life, SEEG till the age of 18 months. Thermolesions may be performed at the end of SEEG. Peroperative corticography as well as Evoked Potentials monitoring are commonly used in theatre.
The Unit weekly schedule includes 3 presurgical assesments : 1 SEEG and 2 scalp EEG, as well as 2 resective and/or disconnective surgeries.
