BIOGRAPHY
Cesar "Pupy" Pedroso is a key figure in the history of Cuban music. He began his career with Elio Revé's orchestra, which he left with Juan Formell at the end of the 1960s to form Los Van Van, Cuba's most emblematic and popular group.
Pianist, arranger and composer of Los Van van for more than 30 years, Pupy decided to found his own group in 2001: "Pupy y los que son son". The group immediately met with great popular success in Cuba and their first album "Que cosas tiene la vida" won the 2004 Egrem prize for album of the year.
"Pupy y los que son son" is today one of the most listened to timba bands in Cuba.
