  Показ фильма «Мы тебя везде ищем» — новый документальный фильм

Дед Мороз отправляется через пять стран, чтобы поздравить детей и взрослых с Новым годом, принести им поддержку и праздник. Но ещё в этом путешествии он пытается понять, где теперь его собственный дом.

В обычной жизни Вася, главный герой фильма, киновед
по образованию и переводчик по ремеслу. А ещё муж и отец
двоих детей. В сентября 2022 года Вася уезжает из России
и оказывается в Стамбуле — оторванный от собственной семьи и без каких-либо ясных перспектив. В этих новых обстоятельствах он перевоплощается в Деда Мороза и отправляется через Турцию, Грузию, Армению, Израиль и Казахстан к детям и взрослым, чтобы поздравить их с праздником и помочь принять уходящий год.

Но что происходит с человеком, который решается покинуть свой дом? Как происходит процесс понимания и принятия?
Как описать опыт нахождения то ли дома, то ли нет, то ли на пути куда-то, то ли в тупике? Куда мы движемся? Какое будущее нас ждет? Фильм исследует этот новый для многих опыт и контекст.

Фильм завершает исследовательский сезон о чувстве дома,
выпущенный независимой документальной студией «Поле»
осенью 2024 года.

«Seeking You Everywhere» is a new documentary film by Sergey Karpov and the Pole Studio.

The film is in Russian with English subtitles. After the screening, there will be a live discussion with the director.

Ded Moroz (“Father Frost,” an Eastern Slavic legendary figure similar to Santa Claus) sets off across five countries to bring joy and support to children and adults celebrating the New Year. Along the way, he tries to understand where his own home is now.

In everyday life, Vasya, the film’s main character, is a film scholar by training and a translator by profession. He is also a husband and the father of two children.

In September 2022, Vasya leaves Russia and finds himself in Istanbul — separated from his family and facing an uncertain future. In these new circumstances, he transforms into Ded Moroz and travels through Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Israel, and Kazakhstan, visiting children and adults to congratulate them on the New Year and help them make peace with the year that has passed.

But what happens to a person who decides to leave their home? How does the process of understanding and acceptance unfold? How do we describe the feeling of being neither at home nor away — of being both on the road and at a dead end?

Where are we headed? What kind of future awaits us? The film explores these questions — a new experience and context shared by many today.
