About

Sitting Buddha, Dancing Buddha: Movement, meditation and embodied wisdom

With Martin Aylward and Jo Hardy

Language: English

This retreat weaves the ancient wisdom of the Four Foundations of Mindfulness with conscious movement and embodied presence. We’ll explore how the profound stillness of sitting practice illuminates our capacity for embodied awakening, and how movement becomes meditation in motion—the body becoming our teacher, revealing the interconnectedness of breath, awareness, and presence. Listening deeply to our bodies allows awareness to expand in new, surprising, and liberated ways, awakening understanding and expression beyond habit.

Each day includes sitting and walking meditation, mindful movement, heart dialogue, silence, and outdoor practice—a complete immersion in embodied wholeness, cultivating integrated presence in both movement and stillness.
