Soledad Kalza et Sina Kienou forment un duo riche des racines de leurs peuples et respectivement ancré dans des traditions fortes telles que le jazz, la chanson contestataire et la chanson à texte, la musique mandingue, le rock et l'improvisation.
Soledad Kalza and Sina Kienou are a duo rich in the roots of their peoples and respectively anchored in strong traditions such as jazz, protest songs and chanson à texte, Mandinka music, rock, and improvisation. They met in Burkina Faso in 2020. A first album was born, the result of a live recording at the Théâtre Marni in 2022. Their new album Atlanti Kaw, “Atlantic People,” explores this shared space without sacrificing their unique identities. Mainly in French but also in Dioula and Spanish, they have signed 10 compositions with homerecords.be. The album, released on December 6, 2024, was immediately selected for the World Award for the best albums of 2024 in Belgium, and the duo performed at the AB during the awards ceremony on January 28, making a remarkable appearance. It is once again nominated in the best album category for the 2026.
