Speech Contest

Les associations Synapse NeurotechEU Lille et Le Bruit des maux ont le plaisir de présenter la première édition de leur Concours d’éloquence entièrement tenu en anglais, qui aura pour thème : les neurosciences et le pouvoir de l’esprit humain.

 

Les neurosciences interrogent profondément notre rapport à l’humain : qu’est-ce que la conscience ? Sommes-nous libres dans nos choix ? Le cerveau peut-il tout expliquer ? Autant de questions que les orateurs devront aborder avec talent, subtilité et sens critique.

 

Sous le regard attentif d’un jury composé d’universitaires et d’orateur émérites, les participants auront l’occasion de démontrer, dans un discours de 5 minutes, non seulement leur maîtrise de la parole, de la langue anglaise, mais aussi leur capacité à rendre la complexité accessible et vivante.

 

Nous vous donnons rendez-vous le 14 octobre, dans l’amphithéatre 2 de la Faculté de Médecine Henri Warembourg à Loos, pour assister à cette soirée où la science rencontrera l’art du discours.

The associations Synapse NeurotechEU Lille and Le Bruit des maux are pleased to present the first edition of their public speaking competition, held entirely in English, on the theme of neuroscience and the power of the human mind.

Neuroscience profoundly questions our relationship with humanity: what is consciousness? Are we free in our choices? Can the brain explain everything? These are just some of the questions that speakers will be asked to address with talent, subtlety and critical thinking.

Under the watchful eye of a jury composed of academics and distinguished speakers, participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate, in a 5-minute speech, not only their mastery of speech and the English language, but also their ability to make complexity accessible and lively.

We look forward to seeing you on 14 October in Amphitheater 2 of the Henri Warembourg Faculty of Medicine in Loos for an evening where science meets the art of public speaking.
