Student Chapter: Road to Publication

The Institut Photonique Student Chapter is pleased to invite you to Student Chapter: Road to Publication, a special event dedicated to scientific communication, research dissemination, and networking within the Institut Photonique community.

The afternoon will begin with an introduction to the Student Chapter, highlighting its past activities and upcoming initiatives, followed by visits to the institute’s laboratories. Participants will then have the opportunity to attend an exclusive author workshop led by Carsten Rockstuhl, Editor-in-Chief of Optics Letters. This workshop will provide valuable insights into scientific publishing, with a particular focus on writing effective abstracts, preparing journal articles, and developing conference papers.

Planning:

• 13:45–14:00: Welcome and arrival of participants.
• 14:00–14:30: Presentation of the Student Chapter, including past activities and future initiatives.
• 14:30–16:00: ICube laboratory visits.
• 16:00–19:00: Author workshop with Carsten Rockstuhl, Editor-in-Chief of Optics Letters, alongside a poster session and networking reception. The workshop will focus on scientific publishing, including writing abstracts, journal articles, and conference papers.
• 19:00–20:00: Break.
• 20:00 onwards: Dinner with the affiliate members of the Institut Photonique at Restaurant Au Brasseur.
