THE MERCHANT - D’R HANDLER, adapted from Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice

Dr’ Handler se déroule à Strasbourg à la fin des années 1880. La pièce raconte l'histoire d'un marchand, Antoine qui pour financer le projet de son ami Benoît, emprunte trois mille marks au prêteur Shylock. Quand ses navires coulent et qu'il est incapable de rembourser la dette, Antoine se trouve en danger de mort. Quelqu'un pourra-t-il le sauver ?

D’r Handler takes place in Strasbourg in the late 1880s. It tells the tale of a merchant, Antoine, who borrows three thousand marks  from the usurer, Shylock, to fund a project for his friend Benoît. When his ships fail to come in and he cannot repay the debt, Antoine’s life is in danger. Who can save him?
