De Belgische gitaristen Thomas Decock en Artan Buleshkaj vonden elkaar in 2024 in hun
gedeelde liefde voor Americana, wat resulteerde in de intieme langspeler "Plain Songs". Dit
album werd positief ontvangen door (online) pers en radio, en stond onder andere in de top 10
jazz-releases van Knack datzelfde jaar. Nu staat er een nieuw avontuur op stapel: de oprichting
van een dynamisch kwintet, klaar om een unieke sound te creëren.
But the desire for more kept growing stronger. That's why Thomas and Artan decided to expand
their formation to a quintet. Yannick Peeters on double bass and Lionel Beuvens on drums were
chosen for their fantastic rhythm tandem; highly interactive, tasteful, and immensely versatile.
They are both established figures in the Belgian jazz scene, with a wealth of experience and a
deep understanding of musical nuances. Werend van den Bossche, a young, up-and-coming
saxophonist, adds an exciting element.

The Belgian guitarists Thomas Decock and Artan Buleshkaj found each other in 2024 through
their shared love of Americana, which resulted in the intimate album "Plain Songs." This album
was positively received by the (online) press and radio, and was included in the top 10 jazz
releases of Knack that same year, among others. Now, a new adventure is in the works: the
formation of a dynamic quintet, ready to create a unique sound.
But the desire for more kept growing stronger. That's why Thomas and Artan decided to expand
their formation to a quintet. Yannick Peeters on double bass and Lionel Beuvens on drums were
chosen for their fantastic rhythm tandem; highly interactive, tasteful, and immensely versatile.

Les guitaristes belges Thomas Decock et Artan Buleshkaj se sont rencontrés en 2024 autour de
leur amour partagé pour l'Americana, ce qui a abouti à l'album intime "Plain Songs". Cet album a
été positivement accueilli par la presse (en ligne) et la radio, et figurait notamment dans le top 10
des sorties jazz de Knack cette même année. Une nouvelle aventure se profile à l'horizon : la
création d'un quintette dynamique, prêt à créer un son unique.
Mais le désir d'aller plus loin se faisait de plus en plus sentir. C'est pourquoi Thomas et Artan ont
décidé d'élargir leur formation en un quintette. Yannick Peeters à la contrebasse et Lionel
Beuvens à la batterie ont été choisis pour leur fantastique tandem rythmique ; très interactif,
plein de goût et extrêmement polyvalent. Ce sont tous deux des figures établies de la scène jazz
belge, avec une richesse d'expérience et une profonde compréhension des nuances musicales.
Werend van den Bossche, un jeune saxophoniste prometteur, ajoute un élément passionnant.
