Put the "Partner" in Journalism Partnerships! 

The Creative Europe Desks from 22 countries are happy to invite you to the European News Pitch for projects that seek funding from the Creative Europe call "NEWS - JOURNALISM PARTNERSHIPS 2023”. Different projects from all over Europe will be presented.

Tuesday, 14th of March 2023, 2.30-4.30pm (CEST) online

Each pitch will be 4 minutes + 2-3 min. Q&A with the audience.

This event is brought to you by Creative Europe Desks from Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and Ukraine in partnership with the European Commission and the European Executive Agency EACEA.

The event will be in English.

More about the Call for proposals “NEWS – Journalism Partnerships”, deadline 27.4.2023 The Call is divided into two sub-calls. You can apply for either Action 1 or Action 2. 

Action 1: Collaborations (5 Mio. Euro): 

• More sustainability and resilience for European news media sector by supporting media collaborations
• Consortia of min. 3 partners from countries participating in the Creative Europe programme
•  Proposals should involve as many news media as possible, to benefit the wider European news media community.
• EU-cofinancing: max. 80% of eligible costs, EU grant max. 2 Mio. Euro per project

Action 2: Pluralism (5 Mio. Euro)

• Consortia or single applicants providing financial support to other news media actors
• Strengthen investigative journalism and media freedom and pluralism
