L’art et le Silence
Au croisement du réel et de l’imaginaire où la vérité de chacun n’est jamais celle de l’autre, l’art et le silence ne cessent de se réinventer dans cet entre-deux d’une impermanence de l’instant. Du silence au son, du balbutiement à la parole, du vibratoire au corporel, de la pensée au langage, cette pièce explore et se laisse traverser par ce mouvement perpétuel d’allers et retours, dans une ambiguïté et une distance avec soi-même.
Le piano, premier point du processus créatif, ouvre silencieusement l’espace scénique par son volume imposant, ses courbes et ses lignes, ses jeux d’ombre et de lumière. Sa présence pose le ton, initie le premier souffle, déplie peu à peu ce questionnement continu, dans cette temporalité d’un présent si habité.
Cette première voix du piano donne tour à tour la parole aux autres lignes, visuelle, textuelle, textile, scénographique, jusqu’à basculer vers ces interstices qui nous invitent à voir ce qui ne se voit pas, à entendre ce qui ne s’entend pas, à percevoir ce qui ne se perçoit pas.
La performance donne corps à ce continuum de modulations, soutient par la danse ou le regard ce mystère du passage. Cette présence incarne ces doubles mouvements entre vide et plein, obscurité et lumière, passé et futur. Une posture qui ose se laisser traverser dans un en-dehors de soi.

Kunst en stilte
Op het snijvlak van werkelijkheid en verbeelding, waar iemands waarheid nooit die van een ander is, blijven kunst en stilte zichzelf steeds opnieuw uitvinden in dit tussengebied van de vergankelijkheid van het moment. Van stilte naar geluid, van stamelend naar spreken, van trillend naar lichamelijk, van gedachte naar taal: dit stuk verkent en laat zich doordringen door deze voortdurende beweging van heen en weer gaan, in een ambiguïteit en een afstand tot zichzelf.
De piano, het eerste punt in het creatieve proces, opent stilzwijgend de scenische ruimte door zijn imposante volume, zijn rondingen en lijnen, zijn spel van licht en schaduw. Zijn aanwezigheid zet de toon, initieert de eerste ademtocht, ontvouwt beetje bij beetje deze voortdurende zoektocht, in deze tijdelijkheid van een zo bezet heden.
Deze eerste stem van de piano geeft beurtelings het woord aan de andere lijnen – visueel, tekstueel, textiel, scenografisch – totdat het overgaat in die tussenruimtes die ons uitnodigen om te zien wat niet te zien is, te horen wat niet te horen is, waar te nemen wat niet waarneembaar is.
De voorstelling geeft gestalte aan dit continuüm van modulaties en ondersteunt door middel van dans of de blik dit mysterie van de overgang. Deze aanwezigheid belichaamt deze dubbele bewegingen tussen leegte en volheid, duisternis en licht, verleden en toekomst. Een houding die zich durft te laten doordringen in een buiten-zichzelf.
Art and Silence
At the intersection of reality and the imagination, where one person’s truth is never another’s, art and silence are constantly reinventing themselves in this liminal space of the fleeting moment. From silence to sound, from stammering to speech, from the vibrational to the physical, from thought to language, this piece explores and allows itself to be traversed by this perpetual back-and-forth movement, in a state of ambiguity and distance from the self.
The piano, the starting point of the creative process, silently opens up the stage space with its imposing volume, its curves and lines, its play of light and shadow. Its presence sets the tone, initiates the first breath, and gradually unfolds this continuous questioning, within the temporality of a present so deeply inhabited.
This initial voice of the piano gives the floor in turn to the other lines—visual, textual, textile, scenographic—until it shifts towards those interstices that invite us to see what cannot be seen, to hear what cannot be heard, to perceive what cannot be perceived.
The performance gives substance to this continuum of modulations, supporting through dance or the gaze this mystery of transition. This presence embodies these dual movements between emptiness and fullness, darkness and light, past and future. A stance that dares to let itself be traversed into a state of being outside oneself.
