White Rabbit Books literary salon at Convenanza

At the last Convenanza, we launched a modest series of literary events. Books were important to Andrew – perhaps as important as music (and clothes!) – and this aspect of the festival was something he was 100% invested in.

Convenanza is a gathering of the acid house tribes and an unbeatable party, but it is also a place to discover literature and, as the legendary Grace Slick sang, ‘Feed Your Head’. Andrew’s collaboration with Lee Brackstone – then of Faber and now publisher WHITE RABBIT BOOKS lives on in literary form with these three events with authors whose books we feel confident would have all sat proud and centre of Mr Weatherall’s heaving shelves.

LIAS SAOUDI of legendary hellraisers Fat White Family will be talking about his recently published, Sunday Times Bestseller, TEN THOUSAND APOLOGIES: Steve Davis and Kavus Torabi will take us deep into their joint memoir, MEDICAL GRADE MUSIC, exploring the origin narrative of THE UTOPIA STRONG and their djing collaboration. And finally, one of Andrew’s favourite contemporary writers and cultural disruptor in chief, David Keenan, will explore the ever-expanding and inspiring world of MEMORIAL DEVICE with White Rabbit publisher, Lee Brackstone.
