Writing worshop: Autobiographical Writings as Personal Manifestos

In times of war, cruelty, and uncertainty, writing about the self can feel futile, or frivolous. This workshop navigates the necessity of autobiographical writing, of documenting our lives, the way we go about our day as a form of resistance against absurdity. We will treat our memory as an archeological site, and unearth moments that defined us, and defined the pillars we wish to live by. Together, we will engage with our autobiographical writings as statements, as words that manifest the world we wish to create, a world in which we are able and willing to live. 

 

The workshop will consist of writing exercises and prompts, along with sharing and discussions.
