Next to a Local vous emmène sur la banquette passager d’un 4x4 dans les montagnes d’Oman, à côté d’un habitant qui connaît chaque virage. Vous vous retrouvez ensuite derrière deux femmes en kimono dans une ruelle de Kyoto, ou encore à bord d’un bateau glissant silencieusement dans un fjord islandais.

Avec son appareil argentique, Adrien Chen capture ces instants de proximité : un trajet partagé, un regard échangé, un fragment de lumière. Chaque photographie est une invitation à devenir témoin privilégié de la vitalité de chaque moment.

Ce premier vernissage est aussi une invitation à soutenir le projet : ces quelques euros lui permette d'exister, une bière offerte pour trinquer, et l’occasion de découvrir de nouvelles perspectives et faire des rencontres.

Next to a Local takes you into the passenger seat of a 4x4 winding through the mountains of Oman, next to a local who knows every curve of the road. You then find yourself walking behind two women in kimono in a Tokyo alleyway, or aboard a boat gliding silently across an Icelandic fjord.

With his analog camera, Adrien Chen captures these fleeting proximities: a shared ride, an exchanged glance, a fragment of light. Each photograph becomes an invitation to witness, quietly and closely, the vitality of elsewhere.
